As promised here is my List of Websites where you will find high Quality free Photos / Stock Photos for your private or Commercial Project.

Again, there is no ranking - the List is written as it comes to my mind. They are all great sites and all in all there are thousands and thousands of brilliant free Photos / Stock Photos to discover:

Life of Pix

Life of Pix - beautiful designed Website with plenty of sensational free Stock Photos.
From their "About" page:

"Free high-resolution photos, no copyrights restrictions for personal and commercial use. New photographies added weekly! All images are donated to the public domain. Warning: no mass distribution allowed. Distributors are allowed to repost a maximum of 10 images without our written Life of Pix consent. Hand-made with love by LEEROY Digital Agency in Montreal & its network of photographers.".

Free Nature Stock

Free Nature Stock was created by Adrian Pelletier. All photos published on Free Nature Stock are licensed under Creative Commons Zero (CC0). You are free to use the photos however you want, even in commercial work, without the need for permission or attribution. In short: do whatever you want.

One new photo will be added every day. Adrian personally captures each photo (usually on a Canon 6D) and maintains this entire Project.

Magdeleine

Beautiful layouted Design - "hand-picked free Photos for your Inspiration" is what they say. And Magdeleine is truely worth more than a visit. The Images are licensed under Creative Commons Zero (CC0) License plus some require additional Attribution to the Photographer.

MMT Stock

Jeffrey Betts, founder of MMT

"Moment (MMT) provides free CC0 photography for personal and commercial use on websites, projects, themes, apps, and more. I launched MMT in 2014 to share my love of photography with the world. Over the years I’ve taken countless photos and wanted to post some of those photos to use for free and give back to the online community. The content spans many categories, including nature, city scenes, workspaces, and macro photography. These photos can be freely downloaded, used, and redistributed for both personal and commercial purposes."

Kaboom Pics

Kaboompics offers a wide variety of high quality free stock photos which can be used for commercial purposes but cannot be sold or redistributed of course. Beautiful Website with brilliant Photos - this is what I say. And this is what the founder of Kaboompics says:

"My name is Karolina – I’m a coffee addict who spends her time creating digital images. I’m also a photographer, a graphic designer and a website creator. I’m here to help you visualize your world, your business, and your ideas for life. Allow me to start this off with some bragging.

While Kaboompics is "one woman show", there is no chance I could have done all this without a little help from my friends. Those, who help me with my photos by preparing scenography, posing for the shots, allowing me to distribute their image, and more. I owe a lot to them and appreciate their engagement and patience. Thank you, guys!"

Picjumbo

picjumbo is a free stock photo site created by young designer and photographer Viktor Hanacek in 2013. It all started when any stock photo site didn‘t want his photos due to “lack of quality”. Two years later, the project has turned out to be one of the best free stock photo sites with over 3 millions downloads. It looks that picjumbo is also the most progressive free stock photo site: they have PREMIUM Membership with more than 60+ collections with 1,500+ categorized photos, own Sketch & Photoshop Plugin or Image Test Drive feature.

Death to Stock Photos

Death to Stock is a subscription service for artists that produces premium photo, video, graphic and media downloads. The media is exclusive to members and is updated every month. Sign up for free media and inspiration in your inbox, or go premium and access our entire archive.

Death to stock photo uses their own license which you can read on their Webpage.

This is what they say:

"Death to Stock is a resource, belief system, and call to action for artists around the world who unite in their journeys to make their own way.

Our mission is to resource the creatives with tools they can use for their projects, teach them what we know, and consistently fuel them.

We believe that everyone can be an artist, because being an artist is an approach to your craft rather than a title you acquire.

We pursue this mission because isolation, inequality, and scarce resources lead us to remove humanity from our art. “Stock” is as much a programmed mentality as it is a category of media.

Death to Stock is not concerned with quantity. Our focus is a member-based experience that shows up to push you into the future with fresh media, education, and direction."

Skitterphoto

Skitterphoto offers a wide variety of free stock photos and are released under Creative Commons Zero (CC0). All pictures are authentic and created by Skitterphoto’s owners and Website members.

Rudy and Peter, the founders of Skitterphoto say that Skitterphoto was launched in 2014 by them amateur photographers with day jobs from Groningen and Drenthe in The Netherlands. They decided to let their pictures go and published them online on their own website. Why? Because good quality free photos are hard to find and they had some of their own.

Freestocks.org

All photos on freestocks.org are free and licensed under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero). You can copy, modify and use them both in personal and commercial projects. However, you can not sell the photos themselves.

Jeshoots.com

JÉSHOOTS was created at 2014 by Jan Vasek in Prague, Czech Republic. As a fan of photos Jan decided to create his own project, because he wants to help other people in creating their projects and doesn’t want to make his photos never seen. He wants his photos being used and helping others. That’s why JESHOOTS.com was established.
